Chapter 01
Aluminum or steel, and what each one buys you
Ornamental aluminum is lighter, which makes it easier to work into longer runs and taller gates without the fence fighting its own weight, and a good powder coat finish keeps it from ever rusting because there's no iron in the alloy to corrode. It's the right call for most residential ornamental fencing, a fence line, a pool enclosure, a yard perimeter.
Steel is heavier and stiffer, and that weight is exactly what you want on a fence that has to take real abuse, a driveway gate that gets swung open and shut constantly, a commercial or security application. Steel's powder coat protects it the same way, but the metal underneath will rust if that coating is ever breached, so it earns its keep on jobs where the added strength is worth that trade. We build in both AmeriStar and Centurion, and which line fits depends on the job more than a general preference for one brand over the other.

When the fence is the front of the house
A driveway gate is the one piece of fencing most visitors actually see up close, and it's where ornamental metal earns the name. An arched top, finials along the rail, a medallion set into the gate itself, all of it turns a functional gate into something that reads as custom rather than off a shelf.
Our own horse-head medallion driveway gate is the clearest example of what this category can do, a custom motif worked into an arched, finialed gate rather than a plain panel with a lock. Chapter 03
Pool enclosures and self-closing gates
Ornamental metal is the usual material for a pool fence, because it holds a clean sightline around the water while still doing the job of keeping the pool area secured. The gate hardware matters as much as the fence itself here, self-closing hinges and a self-latching mechanism that a small child can't operate are the standard expectation on a pool gate.
Exact height and gap requirements for pool fencing are set locally, so we'll talk through what applies to your property rather than assuming one spec covers every yard. What we can tell you up front is that ornamental metal is built to take that hardware cleanly, which is a big part of why it's the default choice around a pool.
Handrails
Handrails are in our own catalogue alongside the fencing, and they're worked in the same ornamental metal, powder coated the same way, built to match a porch, a set of steps or a ramp rather than looking like a separate add-on bolted to the house afterward.
